300x250

Lotte World Magic Forest (or Lotte World Adventure Busan), which began construction on April 30, 2019, is currently under construction ahead of its opening in May 2021.

Lotte World Magic Forest, which will be built on a 500,000-square-meter site with an investment of 500 billion won, will be built with approximately 31 attractions. To match the name Lotte World Magic Forest, the theme of the entire theme park is "forest." Therefore, the attractions will be designed with the concept of animals and farms.

Most of new theme parks have a must-see attraction. In particular, most amusement parks have large roller coasters that represent one or two theme parks. For example, there are Atlantis and French Revolution in Lotte World. There is also the famous T-Express in Everland. Meanwhile, in "Gyeongju World", a theme park that has recently emerged, there is Draken, the scariest roller coaster in Korea.

So I would like to find out what the representative large roller coaster will be built in Lotte World Magic Forest.

It is said that two models are planned. That is, Blue Fire and PowerSplash. Those two roller coasters are designed by Mack Rides, and the view of Lotte World Magic Forest, which is now available, shows the approximate shape of these two roller coasters.

Lotte World Magic Forest's bird's-eye view, left = Blue Fire, right = PowerSplash

When you see the picture, the large circle on both sides is where each large roller coaster is located. Blue Fire on the left, PowerSplash on the right.

You won't get the hang of it with just a bird's-eye view. In fact, both models are already installed and operated in amusement parks in other countries. So, I think we can learn more about the two roller coasters to be built in Lotte World in Busan by these information.

1. Blue Fire

Length: 1056.011m

Height: 38.009m

Speed: 100 km/h

Boarding time: 2 minutes and 30 seconds

Maximum gravitational acceleration: 3.8g

Features: 360-degree tracks, sudden acceleration

The first model I will introduce is the Blue Fire model. It is said that there are currently 8 units in the world, and if Lotte World is introduced to Busan, it will be 9 units. Like Atlantis at Lotte World in Seoul, it is a roller coaster with an early burst track, and it has an oval-shaped 360-degree track that is unusually long.

What's noteworthy is that the handle has a heart rate sensor, and I'm not sure if it's a function that exists on other traditional roller coasters, but it's a very new function. If I get on it, my heart rate will easily exceed 120. I don't know if this function will actually work, but if it does, it will be a very unique experience.

On the other hand, if the roller coaster is built in Lotte World, it is expected to be built in a left and right reversal from the youtube video above. Because that roller coaster is reversed in the landscape of Lotte World Magic Forest, as you can see from the image above.

2. PowerSplash

Length: 217m
Height: 50 m
Speed: 101 km/h
Drop Angle: 90 Degree
Boarding time: 1 minute and 18 seconds
Features: a roller coaster combined with a sudden acceleration track, reverse drive, and flume ride.

The next model I will introduce is PowerSplash. The same production company designed the roller coaster as before, and there is only one roller coaster in the world. The above image is of the PowerSplash model built in the Walibi Belgium. It seems that Lotte World will be built similar to the video above.

This roller coaster is quite unique. It starts from the station and then goes to the top. And then you fall, you drive in the right direction, you fall back from the other end, you drive back, you go up to the first end, and when you fall forward, a huge amount of water splashes out. It reminds me of Gyeongju World's Summers Flash. Not only the people on the rides, but also the people around me who are watching will get a lot of wetting.

There are two trains running, and when one is in working, the other appears to be carrying people on board and switching the roles of the two trains alternately through a 360 degree rotating disc.

PowerSplash to be built on Lotte World Magic Forest

This is the shape of the bird's-eye view. It almost matches the image of the PowerSplash device in the video.

So far, we've learned about two representative large roller coasters to be built in Lotte World Magic Forest (Lotte World Adventure Busan). In fact, these two roller coasters aren't as thrilling or record-breaking attractions as T Express, and Draken. But these two rollercoasters have unique features, like a heart rate sensor, or a 90-degree dive that splashes a lot of water. Of course, some existing roller coasters may have this function, but I think it will serve as a unique attraction for ordinary people who were not interested in amusement park rides before.
